The Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona, CCCB, requires the renovation of its gathering space—a venue that accompanies the center’s cultural activity: the Restaurant. Dining, conversing, working, and taking a break in a welcoming and flexible environment.
The project stems from a cosmopolitan, critical, and socially committed perspective. It highlights the existing architecture, enhances the connection between interior and exterior, and commits to honest materials, comfort, and sustainability.
The proposal combines stone, concrete, artisanal ceramics, and wood with Mediterranean tones and warm lighting. The diversity of furniture and atmospheres fosters different uses, creating an open restaurant where gastronomy, culture, and everyday life share a common space.
