RESTAURANT XOSE
Grupo El Reloj

Location: c/Sepúlveda, Barcelona
Date: 2018
Constructed area:87m2

This small bar, very close to the Sant Antoni area, needed an update due to its outdated facilities and old, over-the-top finishes.

Due to its location and its small surface area, it creates the aesthetic of a small wine cellar, where the beer and liquor tanks take center stage when displayed to the public.

The use of solid wood, both inside and outside, is reminiscent of the old modernista establishments in the area.

Its interior, in a single, two-story space, is made inviting by the use of fine materials, solid wood, aged mirrors, and San Vicente stone flooring.

Across the heights, a Vives ceramic latticework is installed with pieces of different sizes, some glazed, others not. This latticework conceals the storage area and acts as a visual filter from the owner’s office.

Finally, the furniture is simple and small, like the space, where the tabletops made of reclaimed wood from beams of historic buildings stand out.
